What is the email notification feature?
The email notification feature allows you to be automatically alerted by email when an important event occurs on your payments. Two types of notifications are available:
- Notification when a payment is successful
- Notification when a payment link expires
You can enable these notifications to receive real-time information, allowing you to closely monitor the status of your payments and payment links.
How to enable email notifications in the Dashboard?
To enable notifications, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Bridge account at https://dashboard.bridgeapi.io
- Go to the Settings section
- In the Notifications tab, enable email notifications for the events you want to track
How does the successful payment notification work?
When enabled, you will receive an email notification whenever a payment is successful. Depending on the payment, the notification can be sent at different times:
- If you have a payment account: you will receive a notification when the funds are actually received in your Bridge payment account.
- If you do not have a payment account: the notification will be sent as soon as the payment is successfully executed
- In the case where the payment is made by a bank that does not provide the execution status: the notification will be sent as soon as the payment is successfully initiated.
This ensures that you are informed as soon as the payment is made, depending on the different cases.
How does the notification for an expired payment link work?
When this option is enabled, you will receive an email notification as soon as a payment link becomes expired.
This allows you to be notified that a payment has not been made and to be able to relaunch a new payment link with your payer.
How do I manage my notifications?
From your Bridge account on the Dashboard, in the Notifications tab of the Settings section, you can view the notifications that have been activated. You can also set up new notifications or disable them at any time based on your needs.
Can I customize who receives notifications?
Yes, you can define which email addresses will receive notifications based on your organization. This allows you to redirect notifications to the right people as needed, for example, to the accounting team for successful payment notifications or to the sales team for expired payment links.
Can I receive a notification for all payments, or just some?
Notifications are currently sent for all successful payments, as well as all expired payment links.
Are email notifications sent instantly?
Notifications are sent immediately after the event is detected. However, depending on the situation (such as bank delays), there may be a slight lag between the event and the notification being sent.
