Our Bridge plugin is available for Woocommerce and allows you to receive payments by direct transfers. This will offer an additional payment option to your customers on your website.
In order to activate the plugin and receive your first payments with Bridge, please follow four steps:
1. Activation and access to the plugin
If you have the module in .zip format:
- go to the Extensions tab of your Wordpress dashboard
- click on Add
- click on Upload an extension
- select the extension in .zip format
- install the extension
If you don't have the module in .zip format, you can find the extension directly on Wordpress:
- go to the Plugins tab of your Wordpress dashboard
- click on Add New
- search for Bridge – Payer par Virement Immédiat in the plugins search bar
- install the plugin
To access the extension once installed:
- click on the Woocommerce tab of your Wordpress dashboard
- click on Settings
- go to the Payments tab
- click on Manage, in the Bank Transfer by Bridge plugin
2. Setting up your Bridge account, applications and webhooks
You can create a Bridge account by following our guide : how to create an account on our dashboard.
In order to be able to use our Woocommerce plugin efficiently, you will have to make a first payment test in Sandbox mode. Then, you will be able to accept your first payments from your customers in Production mode. In order to do this, you will need a Sandbox application (test application) and a Production application.
Once your account is created, you can create your Sandbox application by following our guide : how to create your first application. If you are planning to use Bridge only with our Woocommerce plugin: you can select as product "Payment" when creating your application and select "Single Recipient" by specifying your bank identifiers.
To create a Production application, please contact our team.
After those steps, you will need to set up your webhooks. Webhooks are managed by Bridge and will let the Woocommerce plugin receive the status of the payments. The setup of the webhooks is similar for Sandbox or Production applications, only the URL differs.
To set up your webhooks :
- select a Sandbox or Production application
- go to the Webhooks tab in your Dashboard Bridge
- click on Add a webhook to access its settings
For an application in Sandbox:
Go to the Bridge plugin, in Settings > Payments > Bank Transfer by Bridge > Sandbox webhook status. You will get a URL corresponding to your website domain + /bridge-webhook/transaction-updated?sandbox
- copy this URL and click on Add a webhook on the Bridge dashboard (make sure you are using the Sandbox application)
- select: payment.transaction.updated
- name the webhook as you like
- you'll get a Webhook Secret that you'll need to add to your Bridge plugin in Woocommerce
For an application in Production:
Go to the Bridge plugin, in the Settings > Payments > Bank Transfer by Bridge > Production webhook status. In status tab of your production webhook you will get a URL corresponding to your website domain +/bridge-webhook/transaction-updated
- copy this URL and click on Add a webhook on the Bridge dashboard (make sure you are using the Production application)
- select: payment.transaction.updated
- name the webhook as you like
- you'll get a Webhook Secret that you'll need to add to your Bridge plugin in Woocommerce
3. Setup of the plugin in Sandbox mode and first test
Add your Sandbox application credentials to the Bridge plugin
- fill in your Client ID and Client Secret available in the General Settings of your Sandbox application on the Bridge dashboard
- click on Save Changes
- click on Check test credentials to validate the configuration
Confirm your Webhook Secret and test the webhook setup
- enter your Webhook Secret available in the Webhooks tab of the Bridge dashboard on your Sandbox application. On your webhook, click on Edit to access the Auto-generated Secret
- click on Save Changes
- return to the Bridge dashboard and click on Send a Test
- back to the Bridge plugin on the Woocommerce dashboard, click on Check the webhook configuration
Receive your first test payment
In order to be able to use our module in Production mode, it is imperative to make a first payment in Sandbox mode. This will confirm that the module is working properly and that you are receiving the Bank transfers correctly to your bank account. Once validated, you will be able to add your Production application IDs.
To make a first payment in Sandbox :
- fill in your Sandbox application credentials in the Bridge module in Woocommerce
- configure and test your webhooks
- go to your website and place an order by confirming your payment. You can follow these steps to make your first test payment
To follow your first payment in Sandbox and the status of the order:
- go to Woocommerce > Orders tab of your Wordpress dashboard
- click on the Status of the order
- on the right in the Order Notes tab, you will get the status of the payments. For example, payments can go from initiated, to pending, to successful.
Once this test has been completed, you can set up your Production application with the help of our team. To create a Production application, please contact our team.
4. Configure the module in Production mode on the Bridge module of Woocommerce and receive your first payments
Enter your Production mode credentials in the Bridge module of Woocommerce
- fill in your Client ID and Client Secret available in the General Settings of your Production application on the Bridge dashboard
- click on Save Changes
- click on Check production credentials to validate the configuration
Enter your Secret Webhook and test sending webhooks
- fill in your Webhook Secret available in the Webhooks tab of the Bridge dashboard on your Production application. On your webhook, click Edit to access the Auto-generated Secret
- click Save Changes
- return to the Bridge dashboard and click on Send a Test
- back to the Woocommerce dashboard, click on Check webhook configuration
Congratulations, once the tests are validated and your Production application is configured, you can accept your first payments from your customers!
